Transcribe a podcast episode

OneDollarTranscript turns a podcast episode into a full transcript and SRT captions: upload the episode (MP3, WAV, M4A) or paste a YouTube or SoundCloud link, pay once ($1 up to 60 minutes, $3 up to 10 hours) and download text and SRT. Use it for show notes, an episode page, quotes, captions on video clips, or a translation.

$1 up to 60 minutes $3 up to 10 hours TXT + SRT No signup

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Vimeo, SoundCloud, Dailymotion, Loom, or a direct link to an audio/video file.

Episode pages people can read

A full transcript on your episode page gives readers, search engines and AI assistants the actual words of the episode, not just a two-line description, and makes the episode accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing listeners.

Clips and captions

The SRT file has timed captions you can use for the video version on YouTube and for short clips in CapCut, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

Long episodes

Three-hour interviews are one order for $3, up to 10 hours. No per-minute meter and no monthly plan for a weekly show.

Publishing the transcript

Paste the TXT into your episode page or show notes, and upload the SRT as captions on the video version on YouTube. If your podcast host supports the Podcasting 2.0 transcript tag, you can attach the SRT to the episode so podcast apps can show it.

What you get

A clean transcript and a subtitle file.

Every order includes both files. Download them as soon as the transcript is ready.

Questions

Do you label the hosts and guests?

No. Speakers are not labelled, but paragraphs and timestamps make it quick to add names.

Which audio formats work?

MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC and video files, up to 5 GB.

What does a weekly show cost?

Each episode is a separate payment: $1 up to 60 minutes, $3 up to 10 hours. Nothing renews.

Can I edit the transcript before publishing?

Yes. TXT and SRT are plain text files that open in any text editor, and subtitle editors such as Subtitle Edit or Aegisub open the SRT with its timings.

Is the transcript made by a person?

No, by AI. Clear speech usually needs few corrections, but check names, numbers and quotes against the recording before you publish.

How do I convert a podcast episode to SRT?

Upload the episode file (MP3, M4A or WAV) or paste its YouTube or SoundCloud link, pay once ($1 up to 60 minutes, $3 up to 10 hours) and download the SRT file with timed captions. The same order includes the transcript as plain text and as text with timestamps, so you can use the SRT for video clips and the TXT for show notes.

How much does a transcript cost?

$1 per file up to 60 minutes, or $3 per file up to 10 hours, paid once. The price comes from the real length of your file and is shown before you pay. No subscription, no credits, no minimums.
