Timestamps for every quote
The timestamped text lets you find any quote in the recording in seconds, check the exact wording before publishing, and cite the time.
Research interviews
Qualitative researchers can paste the plain text into NVivo, ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA or a spreadsheet for coding. The transcript is a full record of the speech with punctuation and paragraphs; remove names yourself if your study requires anonymisation.
Speakers
Speakers are not labelled automatically. Most interviews alternate clearly between questions and answers, and the paragraph breaks and timestamps make it quick to add Q: and A: or names yourself.
Interviews in other languages
Interviews in 142 languages are transcribed in the language spoken, and you can add a translation, for example from Arabic or Spanish into English, in the same order.
Check before you quote
The transcript is made by AI. Before you publish a quote, play the moment at its timestamp and compare: names, numbers and words spoken quietly or over another voice are where errors usually are.
Ethics and data protection
Check that your consent forms and ethics approval allow a cloud transcription service. Recordings are processed by AI model providers through OpenRouter, routed only to providers that do not retain or train on your data. The recording is deleted when the transcript is ready, and the transcript after 30 days or earlier on request. The Privacy Policy lists every processor.
