Find your language

No language matches. Auto-detect still works: upload the file and we tell you which language we hear.

Does the language change the price?

No. English, Persian, Amharic or Quechua all cost the same: $1 up to 60 minutes and $3 up to 10 hours per file. You see the exact price after the file is checked and before you pay.

Do I have to choose the language?

No. By default the language is detected from samples at the start, middle and end of the recording, so files that open with music or a short greeting in another language are still recognised. Choosing it yourself helps when a recording is very short or mixes several languages.

Can I get a translation as well?

Yes. Pick a translation language before you pay and you get the original transcript plus the translation, both as TXT and SRT with the same timings. Translation into one language is included in the price.

Questions

Which languages work best?

Widely spoken languages with lots of recorded speech, such as English, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic or Japanese, give the most accurate transcripts. Less common languages work too, but expect to check names and specialist terms more carefully.

What if my recording mixes two languages?

Leave the language on auto-detect. Each part is written in the language it is spoken in, so an interview that switches between English and Urdu comes back with both.

Is my language not listed?

If your language is not on this page we cannot promise a usable transcript. You can still upload: nothing is transcribed and nothing is charged until you have seen the price and paid.

How much does a transcript cost?

$1 per file up to 60 minutes, or $3 per file up to 10 hours, paid once. The price comes from the real length of your file and is shown before you pay. No subscription, no credits, no minimums.
