Turn a WhatsApp voice message into text

OneDollarTranscript turns WhatsApp voice messages into text: save the voice message from WhatsApp, upload the file (usually .opus or .ogg), pay $1 once and read what was said. Long voice notes, voice notes in another language and recordings you need to keep as text all work. No account, no app to install.

$1 up to 60 minutes $3 up to 10 hours TXT + SRT No signup

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Vimeo, SoundCloud, Dailymotion, Loom, or a direct link to an audio/video file.

How to get a voice note out of WhatsApp

  1. On Android: press and hold the voice message, tap the share icon and send it to Files, Drive or your browser.
  2. On iPhone: press and hold the voice message, tap Forward, then the share icon, and choose Save to Files.
  3. Upload the saved file here. WhatsApp voice notes are .opus or .ogg files, which work as they are.
  4. Pay $1 and read the transcript, or download it as TXT.

Why turn a voice note into text?

Long voice messages are hard to skim, impossible to search and awkward to play in a meeting or on a train. As text you can read them in seconds, quote them, or keep a record, for example of instructions, agreements or a relative's story.

Voice notes in another language

The language is detected automatically, and you can add a translation into any of 142 languages. Useful for messages from relatives, clients or suppliers abroad.

Private by default

The voice message is deleted as soon as the transcript is ready, and the transcript is deleted after 30 days. The model providers we use do not train on your files.

What you get

A clean transcript and a subtitle file.

Every order includes both files. Download them as soon as the transcript is ready.
