How to transcribe a Uyghur recording

  1. Upload the file (up to 5 GB) or paste a link from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook or another platform.
  2. Keep Uyghur as the spoken language (or auto-detect), add a translation if you want one, and pay once.
  3. Download the Uyghur transcript as plain text, text with timestamps and SRT subtitles.

Written in Arabic, not in Latin letters

Your transcript comes back in Arabic, the script Uyghur is normally written in, not as a romanised approximation. The SRT file is plain UTF-8 text, so the characters display correctly in YouTube Studio, VLC, Premiere Pro and other modern players and editors.

Right-to-left text in TXT and SRT

Uyghur is written from right to left. The transcript keeps the original characters and direction, and the subtitle file can be loaded into players and editors that support right-to-left text. If a line shows punctuation on the wrong side, the player is the problem, not the file: try VLC or YouTube Studio.

An honest note on accuracy

Automatic speech recognition has seen far less recorded Uyghur than English or Spanish, so expect more mistakes in names, place names and specialist terms, especially in noisy recordings. Clear speech close to the microphone gives the best result. If a paid file cannot be transcribed at all, you are refunded automatically.

Translate Uyghur audio into English or another language

Choose a translation language before paying and you get two versions: the original Uyghur transcript and a line-by-line translation, both as TXT and as SRT with the same timings. That makes it easy to check the translation against the original, or to publish subtitles in both languages.

Questions

Is Uyghur written in Arabic script?

Yes, in the Uyghur Arabic alphabet, right to left.

How accurate is Uyghur transcription?

Usable for clear speech, with more corrections than in English or Spanish. Speech models have heard far less Uyghur, so names, place names, numbers and specialist terms are where to look first. Background music, overlapping voices and phone-line audio make it harder still.

Can I translate Uyghur audio to English?

Yes. Pick English (or any of 141 other languages) as the translation language before paying. You get the original Uyghur transcript and the translation, both as TXT and SRT.

What if the recording mixes Uyghur and Mandarin Chinese?

Leave the spoken language on auto-detect. Each part is written in the language it is spoken in, so Mandarin Chinese sentences stay in Mandarin Chinese instead of being forced into Uyghur.

Will the Uyghur transcript be in Arabic?

Yes. The text is written in Arabic, the way Uyghur is normally written, not transliterated into Latin letters.

Does the Uyghur SRT work in video editors?

Yes. The SRT file is standard UTF-8 with the original right-to-left text. YouTube Studio, VLC and most editors display it correctly; if punctuation looks out of place, check that your editor supports right-to-left text.

Is Uyghur supported as well as English?

It is supported, but less recorded Uyghur exists for training speech models, so the transcript usually needs more checking than an English one. The price is the same, and a file that fails entirely is refunded automatically.
